Agreement
The relationship
The Creative Map offers a paid service course and course materials to individuals to help them make a living from their art. By accepting the terms of this agreement, you are committing to participate in a The Creative Map online course. The details of which are located on this website in the product you viewed, added to cart, and checked out.
Payment
The Creative Map along with you, the participant, agree to the fee for the course that you will be attending at the time of your registration.
Ownership
The Creative Map along with you, the participant, shall each retain ownership of, and all right to their respective pre-existing intellectual property.
The Creative Map grants you, the participant, a non-transferable license to use the curriculum and materials delivered through the course solely for your use only. You may not sell, transfer, or otherwise publicly share any of the provided content without prior written permission by The Creative Map. The Creative Map shall retain ownership of and unrestricted right to use any content.
You acknowledge that the content of the course is considered intellectual property. You agree to not to film or take any photographs or recordings of the content of a Workshop, at any time, without prior approval from The Creative Map.
Promotional license
The Creative Map grants you, the participant, a non-exclusive and revocable license allowing you to display public use of The Creative Map’s name and logo showing your participation in the course. However, we reserve the right to request immediate removal of any public uses that are considered negative, derogatory, or goes against our mission and values.
Name, image, & likeness
You, the participant, understand and agree that The Creative Map may collect, record, publish, post, transmit, or display your name, image, and likeness with quotes and testimonial for any purpose. Prior consent will be secured by yourself in the event that The Creative Map will want to display your testimonial.
Loss
The Creative Map assumes no responsibility for loss of property incurred by you, the participant, as a result of The Creative Map.
No guarantees
The Creative Map does not guarantee you any specific outcomes with the purchase of this course. You get out of this course what you put into it in effort. We can not be held accountable or asked for a refund due to misaligned values or lack in participation.
Refunds
Kindly note that all sales are final and non-refundable.
Live Q&A and Community POD Code of Conduct

We want this to be a fun, pleasant, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Confidentiality:
Please keep what's said in lectures, Q&A’s, and among POD members within their Instagram PODs confidential. Don't repeat or quote things said here without the affirmative consent of the speaker(s).
Please be mindful that things you say here may at some point become public. While we expect members to honor the confidentiality of this space, we cannot guarantee that they will do so--nor can we guarantee that every member's login credentials and logged-in devices are secure. Please exercise caution and refrain from sharing sensitive information that could harm you or others if it became public.
Harassment:
Harassment includes:
Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion
Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.
Deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names
Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they’re not appropriate
Simulated physical contact (e.g. textual descriptions like “hug” or “backrub”) without consent or after a request to stop.
Threats of violence
Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm
Deliberate intimidation
Sustained disruption of discussion
Unwelcome sexual attention
Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease
Publication of non-harassing private communication
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the admin. They'll respond as promptly as they can.
We will respect confidentiality requests for the purpose of protecting victims of abuse. At our discretion, we may publicly name a person about whom we’ve received harassment complaints, or privately warn third parties about them. We will not name harassment victims without their affirmative consent.
Consequences
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the admins may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the course and identifying the participant publicly as someone about whom we've received complaints.

This code of conduct is based on Annalee Flower Horne's Sample Slack Code of Conduct, which is in turn based on Geek Feminism's Community Anti-Harassment Policy. We have adapted the Sample Slack Code of Conduct for our own use under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License.
